Joseph Matthews
Chief Executive Officer
Sports played an important role for Joe growing up as a young man in the 1970s and 1980s. He received countless benefits from participating. He learned to work with others in order to reach goals; he was exposed to a healthy lifestyle; most importantly, Joe learned to deal with adversity and diversity.
Joe has been mentoring athletes working as a football coach for high schools in the Shortridge High School as well as Tinley High School. He has seen an abundance of changes in the overall landscape of interscholastic sports which has led him to take on this challenge of bring parity to sports in Indiana. Joe believes that many disadvantaged athletes just need an opportunity in order to reach their full potential athletically and academically. Joe’s passion and mission is to inspire and support high school student athletes that need a helping hand. He wants to cultivate core values that will mold young men and women into great stewards of their communities.
Lamont Pryor
Chief Operating Officer
Sports played a key role in Lamont’s life. As a student he played team sports which encouraged him to focus on working with others and being a leader. He believes that all student athletes should have the opportunity to pursue their academic and athletic interests without worrying about below par equipment and facilities. Lamont joined MSG to work with the team to make sure our students are given a fair shot.
Lamont Pryor oversees operations for Matthews Sports Group. He has extensive experience in strategic planning, operations, service line management, and sales program development and evaluation. Lamont has been over 15 years of operations management experience. Lamont previously served as the Director of Account Management, where he also provided strategic and operational leadership.
Chris Sarber
Event Coordinator
Greetings. My name is Chris Sarber and I am the event coordinator for Matthews Sports Group (MSG). I've known Joe Matthews for 15 years with both a personal and professional relationship. We worked together at Pepsi for 10 years and still maintain a great relationship. I currently work for Denison Parking at Riley Children's Hospital where I manage the family garage and emergency valet service. I also play in 2 bands in Indianapolis, Sugar Moon Rabbit and Pinky and the Basterds. Having planned many of our concerts, I found the role of event coordinator as one I've actually played for a while. Now I'm making it official as I plan events for MSG in cooperation with Joe. We look forward helping others here in this fine city of Indianapolis!
