WHO DO WE SUPPORT?

Matthews Sports Group (MSG) supports student athletes that lack the facilities, equipment and training that other student athletes have.  Our goal is to bridge the gap and provide parity and opportunity to those that are too often left behind.

WHY DO WE SUPPORT THEM?

Studies show that interscholastic sports have a positive impact on academics and overall success.

Participation should be encouraged, especially for high-risk populations.  Sports keep students in school longer, decreases attendance issues and thus increases the graduation rate.  MSG is focused on seeing our students reach their full potential academically and athletically.

MSG is completely dedicated to the concept of recycling, but not in the typical sense of the word.  When we refer to recycling we are talking about cycle of support that maximizes the potential of our young people.

MSG understands that giving begets giving and our goal is to create a culture of giving.

HOW DO WE SUPPORT THEM?

MSG supports under-privileged student athletes:

• Financially
  • We provide equipment, facilities, uniforms and other financial support to scholastic sports programs that have a need. Our goal is to close the gap between well-equipped programs and those that need a little support.
• Training
  • Matthews Sports Group will conduct sports training camps to ensure all of our student athletes have the most updated training so they remain safe in their respective sport.
  • We will work with expert coaches and industry leaders to offer the most well-rounded experience possible for our student athletes.
• Education and Mentoring
  • We will provide access to educational and mentoring opportunities for students and coaches and other industry personnel. It is important that those leading our students have a full understanding of best practices; thus we will offer coaches the opportunity to attend lectures featuring industry experts on safety and top coaches.
  • Matthews Sports Group will provide access to mentoring and group discussions on various topics to allow our student athletes to gain valuable life lessons from those that have been in their shoes.
